Seeking Guidance

Description

The weather was cold and chilly as a rainstorm was rolling it's way in on a dark spring night. The air smelled misty and the atmosphere was thick; almost making it hard to breathe comfortably. A fair aged wolf padded it's way along the dirt path from the forest and into the meadow, where she would speak to her deceased mother that rested in the heavens. A terrible fate that one faced. Being brutally slashed to death by a large mountain lion, wasn't the way she had planned to die. Though by passing on, she did something right for her daughter. Something that had changed her life forever.

The strength of the Bloodshed. An ancient power that allowed ones body to over-come with rage in the darkest of times and in the most necessary of moments. Giving one to rip an enemy apart within mere seconds was just the type of power a wolf such as Cruor needed. For what she was about to face, has to be the most difficult time of her life.

"Mother?" the female spoke as she carefully climbed her way up the large boulder. "I've come to seek your advice." She said clearly, but softly. A small light peeked it's way out from the heavens and shined onto the dark wolf. "My child. What type of advice do you seek?" A beautifully strong voice spoke. Cruor struggled to hold back tears as she heard her mothers voice. Though she toughed up and stood proudly. "I am failing my missions to help the pack regain the food it has lost. My rank has dropped from head hunter to 2nd class. I don't know what to do. Am I not strong enough?" She began to hang her head in shame, until a bright light appeared in front of her.

The spirit of her mother stood before her and lifted her head up with a dainty paw. "Little one. Rank, does not matter about strength. What will bring you success in the end, is how you hunt. Your strategies. Don't charge straight in. Create an illusion with the power I passed onto you when I had fallen. Use it to your advantage to help the pack." She said proudly, with a gentle smile. Her daughter heeded her words and returned the smile, holding back the urge to rub up against her in sadness, and in love. Though she nodded lightly, slightly wagging the tip of her tail in happiness. "Thank you mother. You have always taught me to be strong, and even now, at my age, I can still look up to you."
"Cruor--"
Finally, the young wolf cried a small tear as the gentle voice called her name.
"No matter where you are. Your age, your strength or even if your honor drops completely; You can always look up to me, and ask for guidance. I am your mother, and you will always be my little pup." The spirit said with the sweetest of smiles. A smile that the young wolf had never seen before. She nodded as one more tiny teared pushed it's way out her eye and down her ruffled fur.

With the advice given, the wolf's mother's spirit made it's way back up to the heavens, just as it began to drizzle. Cruor knew the rain wasn't out of sadness. But out of joy and happiness. She knew these were her mothers tears.

So you don't have to read it. And I didn't put the rain in the picture because it didn't look right. D:
